Oscar-1 at Whiteman AFB No. 3

Oscar -1 was unique among the LCF's and LF's in the minuteman system. These facilities were ususlly off the main base (called the SMSB, Strategic Missile Support Base" in Minuteman lingo).

Minuteman facilities had to be at least three miles apart to prevent one warhead detonation to damage more than one LF or LCF.
