425th Fighter Squadron, flying Block 25 and later Block 52 F-16C/Ds for the Republic of Singapore AF
Luke was a pretty busy place! I had a great time photographing jets there in my time in the USAF!
I hope you enjoy this series of unit patches and jets!

The Definition of Cool!
I would like to give a huge shout out to DA Member NavJag: https://www.deviantart.com/navjag for an extraordinary gift! Several months ago, I got an email from Scott Brown, Owner of Bullseye Model Aviation: https://www.facebook.com/bullseyemodelaviation/. Scott mentioned that he was doing some decal sheets of F-16s and was going to include my first F-16A, 78-0014 as a decal option on this sheet: https://spruebrothers.com/bma48029-1-48-bullseye-model-aviation-decals-f-16a-falcon-block-1-5-10-15-hotrod-vipers-1/. My friend NavJag, emailed me that he would like build a model of my jet and send it out to me. Glenn, Thanks for all of the hard work and detail you put into this excellent model of my jet. Here are a few photos of where it will be displayed along with several parachute harness fittings from various ejection seats. I am greatly honored by your gift!
Aircraft of the Oregon ANG
Continuing with my little series of Air National Guard (ANG) units, here is a look at the units assigned to the 142d Fighter Interceptor Group (FIG), Oregon ANG. The 142d had two fighter units assigned, the 123d Fighter Interceptor Squadron (FIS) based at Portland IAP, OR as well as the 114th Tactical Fighter Training Squadron (TFTS) based at Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls OR. I hope you enjoy this look back at the various aircraft operated by the Oregon ANG in the 1980s and 1990s.
Fighters of the Georgia ANG
Here is a look back at the fighter aircraft operated by the 116th TFW, Georgia Air National Guard (ANG) that were based at Dobbins AFB in Marietta GA. I grew up in Atlanta and remember seeing the Georgia ANG F-100s and F-105s. It was also cool seeing the AFRES C-124s and C-130s that operated out of Dobbins. In 1996, the Georgia ANG transitioned from F-15A/B aircraft to the B-1B aircraft and moved to Robins AFB in south Georgia. The 116th BW operated the "Bones" up to 2002 when the wing transitioned to the Airborne Command and Control mission as the sole USAF operator of the E-8 JSTARS aircraft. Here is a look back at the F-105F/Gs, F-4Ds, and F-15A/Bs operated by the Georgia ANG from their home base of Dobbins AFB.
Adversary F-5Es
Here is a look back at some of the F-5E's used by the various 'Adversary' training squadrons of the US Navy and Marine Corps. These unit's mission was to train fleet Navy and Marine fighter units with dissimilar aircraft emulating Russian tactics. The F-5E aircraft used in this role as a MiG-21 analog were originally slated to go to the South Vietnamese Air Force, but were embargoed and used by the Navy and the USAF as training aircraft at the Naval Fighter Weapons School as well as the Aggressor units at Nellis AFB. Enjoy this look back at the F-5E aircraft in an interesting array of camouflage schemes.
