'Spike' F-16C No. 2by ~F16CrewChief

F-16C-25-CF, 84-1382 assigned to the 62d FS, 56th FW seen taxiing out for a mission at Luke AFB in January 1997.

Note the two color paint scheme (FS36118 Gunship Grey and FS 36270 Medium Grey) with the dark grey starting aft of the canopy. Having the dark grey this far aft is pretty rare to see this late in the F-16 program.

This is the way the jets were originally marked early in the program [link] but because of the ugly stain the gun gases left on the medium grey color, the dark grey demarcation was moved forward to cover the gun port in the late 1980's as seen on this Hill "A" model
