Love the camoflauge scheme on this. Always liked the Aggresor aircraft. Pretty cool

I really like the 65 AGRS F-15's in the"Flanksr" scheme.

I enjoyed shooting the F-5E's of Topgun and the Nellis aggressors years ago. There was a huge variety of paint schemes.

I will post a few soon.

I was told by a friend that years ago the maintenance officer at the Key West VF-45 agressor unit used to paint up models of A-4's in a new scheme and take it to the paint shop to have them apply the scheme to the unit's A-4's.

Imagine real acft mimicing a model!

i miss top gun. my aunt moved out to El Cajon, which isn't too far from Miramar. unfortunately she moved as the marines were taking over. got to go to the open house at least. i was always hoping to see tomcats chasing aggresors like in the movie, but all you see above her house now are CH53s and CH46s.

I heard the the residence around Miramar were happy that the "noisy" jets were leaving when the NAS closed. At least jets climb up and depart quickly. The H-53's are low level and really do not climb from the base out to the coast. So now they have a lot of slow moving "wop, wop, wop" traffic!

I was TDY to NAS Miramar for two weeks back when it was in it's heyday 1n 1984. It was a busy place!
