F-4E-50-MC, 72-0124 assigned to the 334th TFS, 4th TFW based at Seymour-Johnson AFB seen on the Davis-Monthan AFB transient ramp in May 1990.

F-4s look nice in Hill Grey!

When I was in, you could not have a subdued TAC or ACC patch. Those rules have changed now.

F16CC, do you know when the F-4Es went to Hill Gray, and did they go straight from SEA to Gray, or to Europe 2 first?

The F-4 fleet went from SEA [link] , to wraparound SEA in the late 1970s to early 1980s [link] . In the middle 1980's they all went Euro-1 [link] . After that the Hill grey scheme was predominant [link] .

Okay, thanks. I remember the wraparound coming into vogue at Ramstein in 1979. I'm starting on a F-4E kit and I was curious when the schemes switched over.
