A nice view of a neat jet shot on a neat day (for me!)
Here we see F-4D 65-0759 assigned to the 127 TFTS, 184 TFTG, Kansas ANG "Jayhawks".
This was photographed in August 1982 when there were approx 40 F-4D's on the ramp at McConnell AFB.
Sadly the "Jayhawks" are an "Intel" wing due to the massive ANG drawdowns. Whenever I drive onto McConnell, I depresses me to see all of the empty ramp space!

Bummer - more drawdown likely coming as Secretary Gates seeks to find savings. Great shot showing nice weathering effects for modeling references!
