F-15A-17-MC, 76-0089 assigned to the 426th TFTS and marked as the 405th TTW Commander's jet seen on the Luke AFB ramp in February 1983.
The unit tail stripes of the squadrons assigned to the 405th on the rudder are noteworthy.
The 405th TTW activated at Luke AFB on 29 August 1979 when the F-15 assets were split off from the 58th TTW, operating F-4C aircraft. The unit flag was inactivated on 19 October 1991 and all F-15 assets were transferred to the 58th Fighter Wing.
